Natasha Ray, who is part of the Burgess & Co team, has set up Owlets Playgroup specifically for children aged up to five with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech and language difficulties. Natasha is pictured next to Julie Burgess (far right) accepting a donation of £500 from Burgess & Co.
As mother to Hughen, aged 3, who has ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), Natasha recognised a local need for support for families and set about establishing the playgroup.
According to Natasha “Owlets understand that children under five may not have received a diagnosis but may show signs of ASD or have difficulties with speech and language – our aim is to support families at this early point as developmental delays become apparent.”
“Thanks to a significant pledge of £500 by Burgess & Co we’ll be able to provide equipment specifically designed to help meet the needs of the children attending the playgroup.”
